The rumors of a follow-up LP began swirling as the first anniversary of “Kamikaze” (2018) was approaching. However, the LP appeared until January 17, 2020. It attracted 50.5 million listeners on its first day.

Young M.A. has been buzzing since her EP “Herstory” (2017). Therefore, on “Unaccomodating,” she has the honor to open the album as the first feature. She proves she can go bar for bar. Next, on “Those kinda Nights,” he teams up with singer Ed Sheeran who also appears in Revival’s cut “River.”

On “Godzilla,” Shady raps an astonishing 10.65 syllables per second. A track that is reminiscent of 2013’s “Rap God,” where he spits 9,6 syllables per second. The late rapper Juice WRLD (R.I.P.) sings the chorus with his back-then first posthumous feature.

Darkness” is a bittersweet track, where Em finally delivers one of his intended political messages of “Revival.” The song narrates the chilling story of the 2017 tragic event that occurred in Las Vegas. A coward locked himself in a hotel room with an arsenal of weapons and shot innocent concert-goers.

Moving forward, “Yah Yah” is a sparing session between rappers Royce Da 5’9”, Black Thought, Q-Tip, and Denaun. Furthermore, on “Litte Engine,” he links up with frequent collaborator Dr. Dre. A cut that is evocative of their still perfect chemistry.

Truth is, Em could have lost it again. But instead, he decides to barely nick them. Nevertheless, to some adversaries, he still carries big guns, as shown in “I Will.”

Lastly, throughout skits, Eminem pays homage to the late film director Alfred Hitchcock. Consequently, he borrows elements from his 1958 album of the same name for an eerie yet lyrical sound.
